It would be more factual to say some groups of Protestants espouse this particular doctrine. As a student of evangelical theology with substantial time spent in and among fellowships of various denominations (including those of other countries and cultures), I can safely say that most Evangelical Protestants do not hold to this notion. Rather, belief in sola scriptura has led most of these denominations to hold to the Apostle Paul's proclamation that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. (There are many passages to support this belief, but this one in particular finds its basis in 2 Cor. 5:8.) What is true of dispensationalist Christians of this belief is that they hold that one's body will not be resurrected and glorified until the rapture of the Church.

At any rate, I am appreciate of your exposition of Orthodox doctrine. This type of dialogue helps to foster mutual understanding and communion among the Saints.Aarónhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04847399584697245700noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5602311.post-75996623383089978562011-05-12T12:01:51.165-05:002011-05-12T12:01:51.165-05:00That is some awesome Read !
