About ... and the World 🌑

Welcome to my blog! I, the Occupant of this blog, going my the nom de plume of Occulus Ulysses Pant, or Occ U. Pant, started this part of the blogosphere on 21 July, 2003. Besides peace and equity for my three beloved children and myself, my biggest goal is leaving the world a better place than when I entered it. My children are my pride and joy. 

I have a Masters Degree in Divinity after previously going to college for Business Administration, Business Science, and Computer Science. I have completed all my coursework and just need to complete my dissertation for my Doctorate in Commissioner Science. I am a retired deacon of a Russian Orthodox Christian Church.  I am a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and have been employed recently as a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt. I am also a freelance journalist, podcaster, and a published author of the best-selling high fantasy fiction series, "The Vhaidra Saga". 

Originally this blog was called "Insane Ramblings and Orthodox Ecclesiology". At the time it was a fitting name, as I had more insane ramblings than Orthodox Ecclesiology (which I defined as Orthodox Christian Theology, Praxis, Dogma, & Patristics). I have had multiple specialized short-term blogs over the years, so the blog you see now also includes some of the content originally from those blogs including "iMe", "Yellow Dog iBook", "Ubuntu PowerMac", "This Too was Dugg by...", and my old LiveJournal called, "I Am not Without".

Eventually I was blogging mostly about Orthodox Christian Ecclesiology, and as such, the blog was for a while renamed, "Orthodox Ecclesiology and The World". "... and the World" was included in the title because I continued to blog about worldly things like my family, Scouting, exercise, dieting, health, politics, work, music, soccer (Association Football) and American Football (especially the NFL's Green Bay Packers), etc.. Years later, the name later changed yet again to "The Orthodox Scouter" for a spell, as my content continued to evolve, and gained more content about Scouting and Guiding, but both Eastern and Ancient Western Orthodox Ecclesiology had long been the largest and most fundamental part of this blog. However with the blog eventually returning to a more unorthodox (some might even say heterodox) worldly focus, it's been renamed again to "... and the World 🌑", taking its name from the the second name this blog once had.
