Hypocrisy of Hypocrites

I hate hypocrites. Don't we all? But many of us are what we hate. I see it on a regular basis. The wife who hates how quiet her husband is, but never starts conversation either. The man who hates that his wife is always on her mobile phone, but he does the same thing. The wife that hates her husband being a workaholic even though she is one. The man who does not take care of himself, but demands perfect beauty of his partner. Why? We hate what we are, and when we see others doing what we do, it opens our eyes to it. Oh, that we could open our eyes to our own faults and close our eyes to others' faults.

"And why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye, but do not perceive the plank in your own eye? "Or how can you say to your brother, 'Brother, let me remove the speck that is in your eye,' when you yourself do not see the plank that is in your own eye? Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck that is in your brother's eye." Luke 6:41-42
