When my daughter was a baby her theme was white furniture and Disney Babies (Especially Baby Mickey and Baby Minnie) bedding, toys, etc. The colors in that theme were pastel, and that was her room's theme when she got her own as well.
As far as Pooh goes, there are so many versions. The Classic Pooh is loved as the original, and the Disney version is good too, although sometimes I think they make the contrast to high. When they make the characters more pastel, I think they look better. And without a doubt, Disney made a mistake by changing Piglet's onesie from green to pink IMO.
First black, brown, green, and yellow poops, bath, first doctor's visit, first smile, first diaper change without crying, first pee on diaper changer, first projectile poop on diaper changer, these he already has passed.
Friday my son was 4 weeks old.
Today he transitions from a bassinet to a crib.
Tomorrow he is 30 days old. A big milestone on his Chinese side.
Monday he is 1 month old.
In 11 days he is 40 days old and ready to be Baptized.
60 days late, he has another big Chinese (Especially in Hunan Province) milestone, day #100.
But the milestone I am most looking forward to is first night without waking up! :-) Sweet dreams!
I hate hypocrites. Don't we all? But many of us are what we hate. I see it on a regular basis. The wife who hates how quiet her husband is, but never starts conversation either. The man who hates that his wife is always on her mobile phone, but he does the same thing. The wife that hates her husband being a workaholic even though she is one. The man who does not take care of himself, but demands perfect beauty of his partner. Why? We hate what we are, and when we see others doing what we do, it opens our eyes to it. Oh, that we could open our eyes to our own faults and close our eyes to others' faults.
"And why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye, but do not perceive the plank in your own eye? "Or how can you say to your brother, 'Brother, let me remove the speck that is in your eye,' when you yourself do not see the plank that is in your own eye? Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck that is in your brother's eye."Luke 6:41-42
So in the hospital we started with Huggies diapers, which have the Umbilical Cord Cut-Out, Wetness Indicator, Leak Lock, Baby Winnie the Pooh. Then we got home and starting using Pampers with Dry Max and Sesame Street Babies. Even if the features of Huggies did not beat out the features of Pampers, having Winnie the Pooh make Huggies the winner!
On the 3rd day in the hospital, a lactation specialist came by and found that Daniel was latching incorrectly. Because of this, my wife was literally torn up. Then she became engorged just as she could no longer bear the paid of nursing with such damaged nipples, especially once they started bleeding. So for 4 days my son had to use SimiLac Advance Early Shield. I am not a fan of formula, but we had to so what we had to do.
That day I went to see a Chinese Muslim doctor in the area who I have consulted with in the past (I met her when working for the UPS, as we delivered packages to her office every day). Doctor Su informed me that the hot washcloths we were using (according to the advise of old wives tales everywhere) were actually making her nipples worse. She instead prescribed that my wife take 2 mega doses of fish oil with Vitamin E with food every day and to open these pills, rubbing the contents on the affected body parts several times a day.
My wife and my house reeked of stinky fish. But in 3 days her breasts were back to perfect health and Daniel is now back to breast feeding again, which is helping end the engorgement. Now we just await the next trial and tribulation!
